So I drew some TFA sketches for the Huevember, but due to the animation project, I couldn’t properly drew them. Even now I shoudl be finishing the rest of backgrounds for the IAP, but due to the flu I had since yesterday, I decide to spend my time finishing the sketch of TFA SP.
Now TFA Sentinel Prime is one character made to be unlikable, being a foil to TFA Optimus Prime and all, but there are some parts which I find fascinating, including his trauma, and how it relates to his (negative) character development. I did comtemplate of drawing him as he sees himself: a knight in shining armour defending Cybertron against Decepticons and traitors, instead of a paranoid xenophobia loser.
I had drew the sketch in November, and inked them in another day. At that time my hands were suffering fatigue from overusing, and even then it haven’t fully recovered. Before today, I had only drew the first inking with a 0.1 pen.
I based the halo on Cybertron, both for looking appealing and adding symbolism to SP’s character.
While I had completed the first inking before, I did not colour it until now. While my IAP is mostly completed, there are some backgrounds I need to complete, and since I am currently sick from flu, I decide to use my time completing sketches. Since the SP one is simpler in composition, I chose to complete the sketch.
Learning from the previous experiences, I drew some parts in Marker pen, and other places with the 0.5 pen.
Afterwards, I coloured the piece. Since my hands are still shaky from fatigue and I haven’t used coloured markers for a long time, I guessed that my skills would be rusty. I drew the colours according to the references provided by Allspark Almanac.
Now I have another sketch to complete, and perhaps I will find time to complete them within this month, along with the IAP and the GT proposal.
