Huevember 2016: TFA Megatron

(So today there are some good news and bad news. Good news: due to the professor’s sickness, today’s Madness and Literature class is cancelled. Bad News: apparently Trump has won the president race, and my tumblr / twitter feed are despairing.)

So regarding today’s Huevember prompt, today is Red, so I thought of a TFA Megatron sketch, but with a rectangular framing and some effect of “energon” pouring down his hands. After I drew a pencil draft for 10 minutes (due to having to adjust the hand structure), I finish the inking with a 0.1 pen and a 0.5 pen, before proceeding to colour the body with markers.

About the markers, I used french grey for the shading of the body, while using Red wood for the darker area of red parts. I was originally planning to leave the torso white, until I saw the lighting of othr areas. Thinking back, I probably put too much grey in the chest area, and it would be better if I left them out, or at least plan the end of the grey area.

Unlike the previous artworks, I colour the hands with black marker. It did save time and effort, along with looking clean in shading.

All in all, the sketch is nice in concept and composition, flawed in execution. I rather forget the sketch and the election and just focus on resting and my life.
